As a skateboarder, you observe urban structures to divert them from their original use and perform tricks on them. This process of reappropriating space is an integral part of skate culture. Lost Level extends this process into an imaginary space, exploring the ability to design shapes with altered perspectives using image-generation algorithms. These virtual shapes, often impossible in reality, are then digitally assembled to create the image of a potential “spot”, a place where skateboard tricks could be performed.

Lost Level is inspired by the aesthetics of video games, visually projecting a lost level, a dystopian, ruined version of Parisian architecture. The resulting objects are multiples rooted in skateboard culture, in the form of T-shirts and a skateboard. At last, a skatable sculpture produced from forms with initially contradictory perspectives.
